Each project starts with a detailed site assessment, followed by tailored groundwork and electrical integration. Our systems are engineered to integrate into current operations, minimising disruption while upgrading safety, efficiency, and vehicle flow.

How safe are loading dock turntables in active warehouse environments?

Safety is built into every system we deliver. Our loading dock turntables incorporate non-slip driving surfaces, emergency stop systems, and controlled rotation processes to keep vehicles stable at all times. Each installation is designed around real operational conditions to reduce reversing risks, protect pedestrians, and support safer loading dock operations.

What happens if there is a power failure during operation?

Our systems are designed with operational continuity in mind. Every loading dock turntable is supplied with a backup winch system, allowing the platform to be safely rotated in the event of a power outage or component failure. This ensures vehicles are never left stranded, and dock operations can continue safely.

Who operates the loading dock turntable?

Our turntables can be configured to suit your operational preferences. Typically, the system is operated by either the truck driver or dock personnel via a central control panel. We program strict safety interlocks into every system to ensure rotation only occurs once all safety conditions are met. For projects requiring advanced automation, we also deliver solutions including guided vehicle positioning, anti-collision systems, and multi-point control.

What is the heaviest load they can rotate?

Australian Turntables can carry any load our clients require. For each project, we need to understand what the largest vehicle is that will use the turntable and whether the project requires more than one vehicle to rotate at any time in order to design the turntable accordingly. Our loading dock turntables structure is designed to 15kPa, which is typically the same as the surrounding concrete slab in a loading dock.
